Harvest Church started as a church plant of Sherwood Alliance in Council Bluffs. A small group of congregants started to meet in a building in Minden. Minden was chosen with purpose and a heart for the town. As the congregation grew, they had a desire for their own building. They prayed about a location, and the funds. A location in Minden was purchased, and a new building was drafted. In 2015 they had completed the building project.
Unfortunately, after nine years in the facility, it was destroyed by a tornado which has left the congregrants meeting at the Neola Area Community Center for the foreseeable future. The church body is currently in the beginning stages of designing a new facility to better meet the needs of the community. You can join us in prayer and consider pledging funds toward the new building by visiting the Give page.
Harvest Church congregation is made up of people from Minden, Underwood, Neola, Avoca, Persia, Logan and others from the area. Community involvement and outreach are important to the mission of Harvest Church; to be a light to others in our community and making disciples for Jesus. Minden is a great town, and we are happy to call it home! Look for the future church on the hill, on the east side of town on Tamarack Rd.
